Iggy

Good afternoon!

It hasn’t been 4 years since I was last here, so I consider that progress, even if it’s only day 2! 😜

I have ACV in the making, vanilla extract, salt preserved lemons and fermented honey garlic. I love all the jars!

Today I added ‘Iggy’. Iggy should turn into a beautiful sourdough starter! However, do not be surprised if you see a RIP Iggy blog in the future…

I have started several sourdough starters, what can I say, may they RIP, their lives were brief….

The starters begin well. Bubbling, growing and then, POOF, they die! I truly have no idea what I ultimately end up doing wrong, so I won’t pretend that I do haha! But I am persistent and will eventually get it right!

So, meet Iggy, before it’s too late….

We had another hard frost last night. The leaves and grass crunched under my feet as I went out to rid the animals waterers of ice this morning. Brrrr!

However, afternoon has arrived and the skies are clear and blue, the sun shining and the temperature is quite pleasant. I feel as though I should be out taking advantage of it and splitting wood or something, but here I am….

The deer are on the move today. I went out earlier to see a very nice buck round the hill and cut across the holler with high hopes of catching up to the doe he was trailing. I hope he’s still around in his compromised, hormone driven state and that he becomes dinner! πŸ˜‹

Time change this weekend, blahhhh! 😩 I truly wish to rebel against the notion! Who wants it get dark at 5:30??? Not this girl! I find it all depressing, really.

Anyways, I wanted to introduce Iggy, knowing I likely only have a brief chance to do so. 😜 I really feel I should get up, get out, something, so I’m off!
